Shipping is the part of a card sale nobody posts about, and it is the part that decides whether you buy from someone twice. So here is the whole process, start to finish, with nothing hidden.
Next business day, every time
Your order is packed and dropped at Canada Post the next business day after your payment clears. Not "within 3 to 5 business days." The next one we are open.
If you picked a tracked option, the tracking number is emailed to you the same day the parcel leaves. You can watch it move instead of wondering.
We ship from Kelowna, BC, to anywhere in Canada. If you are in the Okanagan, local pickup is free and we will message you to sort out a time.
Which shipping option should you pick
There are three, and the right one depends entirely on what is in your cart.
Local pickup, free. If you are in Kelowna or close to it, take this. We message you to sort out a time, and you pay nothing to get your cards. It is the cheapest option and it is always available.
Lettermail, C$3.99, no tracking. For one to four raw cards on an order under C$30. The card still goes in a toploader and a bubble mailer. What you give up is the tracking number, so you cannot watch it move and there is no proof of delivery. On a C$12 order that is usually a trade worth making. On anything you would be upset to lose, it is not.
Expedited Lite, C$9.99, tracked. Two to seven business days anywhere in Canada, with a tracking number emailed the day it ships. This is the default for anything of real value.
Free tracked shipping on orders of C$75 or more. It applies automatically, you do not need a code. This is worth knowing before you check out, because the gap between a C$64 order and a C$75 order is often one more card and about C$10 of shipping. Adding the card can genuinely cost you less than not adding it.
If you are unsure, pick tracked. The C$6 difference buys you a parcel you can actually find.
How a card actually gets packed
Four layers, every order, whether it is a dollar base card or the biggest hit in the shop.
- Checked against the listing. Every card is photographed front and back, and the photo on the listing is the card you bought, never a stock image. Before anything else it gets matched back against that photo, so a mix-up is caught here rather than by you.
- Penny sleeve, then toploader. Sleeve first so nothing rubs the surface, then a rigid toploader so the corners cannot take a hit.
- Team bag. The toploader goes in a team bag and gets sealed, so the card cannot slide out the top in transit.
- Braced in the mailer. Singles go in a bubble mailer. Multi-card orders and sealed wax go in a rigid mailer or a box with the contents braced so nothing shifts.
Then the label goes on, the tracking is emailed, and it goes in the mail.
Buy five cards, pay shipping once
Combined shipping is automatic. Add as many cards as you want to your cart and you pay one shipping charge on the order, not one per card. It is the single easiest way to make an order worth more to you and less per card.
That is the same reason our prices sit under our own eBay listings: no marketplace fee comes out of a direct sale, so the saving goes to you instead.
Local pickup in the Okanagan
We are in Kelowna, and local pickup is free on every order with no minimum. Choose it at checkout and we message you to arrange a time. Most pickups are a quick meet up or a porch handoff.
If you are in West Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton or anywhere else in the valley, it is still worth a look. People regularly build a bigger order when shipping is not part of the maths, and a lot of our repeat buyers are within an hour's drive. You can browse the whole shop and sort it out at checkout.
The card in the photo is the card you get
Every card is photographed front and back before it goes up. That photo is the actual card, not a stock image of the same card from someone else's listing.
This matters more than it sounds. On a marketplace you are often looking at a generic image, which means surface marks, a soft corner or an off centre cut are things you find out about after it arrives. Here the flaw is in the photo before you buy, and if we can see something we say so in the notes.
It is also the reason our returns rule is simple. If the card that turns up is not the card in the photo, that is on us, not on you.
What to do if something goes wrong
Canada Post is very good and occasionally it is not. If a parcel stalls, message us and we will chase the trace with you. If a card arrives and it is not the card in the listing photo, tell us within 7 days and we make it right, refund or replacement, your call.
Fast shipping is not a slogan here. It is the only reason a repeat buyer comes back instead of going to the marketplace that charges them more.
